Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using the Webmasters LDN website, client portal and services. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

Last updated 9 June 2026

Jurisdiction: These policies are written for and governed by the law of the United Kingdom. They are intended for use in UK-based situations and are provided in English, which is the authoritative version. If you access Webmasters LDN from outside the UK, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local laws.

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who accesses https://webmastersldn.com, the client portal or any related service (the “Services”). It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service. By using the Services you agree to comply with this AUP. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services.

2. General standards

You must use the Services lawfully and responsibly. You must not use the Services:

  • in any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation;
  • in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect;
  • to harm or attempt to harm anyone in any way, or to harass, abuse or threaten others;
  • to send, knowingly receive, upload, download, use or re-use any material that does not comply with the content standards below;
  • to transmit unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material (spam);
  • to impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

3. Content standards

These standards apply to any material you upload to, store on or transmit through the Services (“Content”). Content must be accurate where it states facts, genuinely held where it states opinions, and comply with the law. Content must not:

  • be defamatory, obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory;
  • promote violence, discrimination or any illegal activity;
  • infringe any intellectual property right, database right or trade mark of any other person;
  • breach any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a duty of confidence;
  • contain or facilitate the distribution of malware, viruses or other harmful code;
  • contain unlawful material, including material that sexually exploits or endangers children;
  • be likely to deceive any person or be used to carry out fraud.

4. Prohibited activities and security

You must not, and must not attempt to:

  • gain unauthorised access to the Services, the servers on which they are stored, or any connected system or database;
  • access, tamper with, or use any non-public area of the Services or another user’s account;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of any system or network, or breach security or authentication measures, without our prior written consent;
  • interfere with or disrupt the Services, for example through a denial-of-service attack or by overloading our infrastructure;
  • introduce any material that is malicious or technologically harmful;
  • use any automated system (such as a bot, scraper or crawler) to access or extract data from the Services without our written permission;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Services except to the extent the law permits despite this restriction;
  • resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Services or access to them without our agreement.

Responsible disclosure of genuine security issues is welcome. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to support@webmastersldn.com and give us a reasonable opportunity to address it before disclosing it to anyone else. Do not access or modify data that does not belong to you while investigating.

5. Portal and account use

If you have a client portal account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must not share your account, allow others to use it, or use the portal to store or transmit Content unrelated to your engagement with us. You must only upload Content that you are entitled to share.

6. Suspension and consequences of breach

We will determine, in our reasonable discretion, whether you have breached this AUP. If you breach it, we may take any action we consider appropriate, including:

  • issuing a warning;
  • removing or disabling access to offending Content;
  • suspending or terminating your access to the Services or your account;
  • taking legal action against you, including recovering our costs; and
  • disclosing information to law enforcement authorities where we are required or consider it appropriate.

We exclude liability for actions taken in response to breaches of this AUP. The responses described are not limited, and we may take any other action we reasonably consider appropriate.

7. Reporting misuse

If you become aware of any misuse of the Services or any Content that breaches this AUP, please report it to us at support@webmastersldn.com.

8. Changes to this policy

We may revise this AUP at any time by updating this page. You are expected to check it from time to time, as the version in force is the one published here. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
